The Olive & June Summer 2024 Collection is here!! I used to spend a week or two every summer on the east coast so this collection feels extra special to me! I’m going to be talking about each color, what it was like to paint it, comparisons and my overall thoughts!
My favorite way to wear regular polish!
Have you heard about my favorite hack for wearing all of my regular polishes while keeping my nails protected and helping them grow longer? Plus my nails are never stained from regular polish, I don’t have ridges, and my nails never peel?? The secret is *clear builder gel*!
I wear a thin layer of clear builder gel under my nails most days to give my nails are super smooth, plump surface. It gives my nails so much strength so they can grow out without being bendy, I truly can hit them on anything and they won’t break, and they’re never stained from regular polish. It’s THE BEST! First off, this collection is nautical themed and it’s giving idyllic East Coast summer vibes in the best way!! It’s making me want a lobster roll STAT. Color Description: I’m calling this summer navy!
How It Paints: Navy for summer?! Honestly it’s got this bright quality to it that makes it perfect for summer! It’s got that typical O&J opaque creamy color consistency which paints like a dream and it’s just SO SHINY!
Similar Colors: OMG and Social Studies
Shades Of Seersucker
Color Description: Periwinkle Blue
How It Paints: Like a cloudless blue sky in the summer but with a really creamy finish that tones it down and makes it really wearable!! This isn’t quite a pastel, so I found it to be really nice and easy and smooth to paint with.
Similar Colors: Not A Cloud and Honest and True
Maine Character Energy
Color Description: Lobster Red (I think it leans a bit more pink personally)
How It Paints: Really nicely. If you can sense a pattern, I just really love painting with these creamy opaque darker polishes. Their formulas are really full coverage without being thick and goopy!
Similar Colors: Field Day and Pomodoro
All Manis On Deck
Color Description: Bright Turquoise Blue
How It Paints: Another breeze to paint with! This one is very bright and fun, and has a bit of a greener/teal leaning tint to it. It gives me nostalgic vibes for some reason and I really loved it!
Similar Colors: Yes Please and Parakeet
Saltwater Taffy
Color Description: Jelly bubblegum pink!!!
How It Paints: Our first jelly color of the collection! You guys know I adore jelly polishes! I just think they’re so fun to layer and I love anything that’s a little sheer. This one actually had a slightly pastel/creamy addition to the jelly quality, so it’s super unique. If you love the look of pastel colors but hate painting them (hello, me), you will love this because it paints sooo easily since it’s a jelly! And it’s not streaky. Love it.
I’ll Take Another Spritz
Color Description: Iridescent shimmery orange
How It Paints: This polish is shimmery so it has a slightly sheer finish to it but it’s buildable. It’s not my typical favorite color but I think it would be a really beautiful pedicure!
Similar Colors: Perfect Pinwheel and Ur A 10
Gold Drops
Color Description: Sheer golden shimmer
How It Paints: This is like a shimmery topper polish and it’s a limited edition gift when you purchase the collection in a system! This one is essentially like a golden version of Pink Goldfish and it’s beautiful!!
Similar Colors: Pink Goldfish and Starshower

Probably Saltwater Taffy because it’s a jelly (duh) but it’s also really unique and I don’t think I’ve ever used a polish quite like it! I love being pleasantly surprised!
