Olive & June x That's Heart Collaboration Review & Swatches

Olive & June Spring just released a new collaboration with tiktoker That’s Heart and I’m here to share my swatches and review of the new collection!! The colors are so fun and I’m going to be talking about each color, what it was like to paint it, comparisons and my overall thoughts!

TWO QUICK NOTES!

Have you heard about my favorite hack for wearing all of my regular polishes while keeping my nails protected and helping them grow longer? Plus my nails are never stained from regular polish, I don’t have ridges, and my nails never peel?? The secret is *clear builder gel*!

I wear a thin layer of clear builder gel under my nails most days to give my nails are super smooth, plump surface. It gives my nails so much strength so they can grow out without being bendy, I truly can hit them on anything and they won’t break, and they’re never stained from regular polish. It’s THE BEST! Here are some links if you’re interested in learning more:

My FAVE Clear Builder Base – It’s so shiny and makes my nails SO strong

My NEW Gel Manicure 1.0 Masterclass Tutorial Course – If you’re new to gel manicures or can’t seem to perfect your at-home process, you NEED to watch this.

My Builder Gel Application Course – My exact process for applying builder gel. It’s so much easier than you think. Once you watch this, you’ll be a pro in no time!

My NEW Dry Manicure Prep Course – Prep is KEY for making your manicures last. This is my brand new Dry Manicure course where I go into detail on how to prep your nail surface, how I do my cuticle care + nip my cuticles, and how I shape my nails. This works for both regular and gel manicures!

If you plan on buying anything from O&J (even if it’s not from this blog post),  I would really appreciate if you used my LINK here. It costs you nothing, but it tells the brand that you came from my content and helps support me and the time that it takes for me to make these posts :) This is my full time job now and any support is GREATLY appreciated! This goes for any content creator that you follow as well!! It helps us grow and tells the brand that we are really driving sales/traffic for them :) ok lets get into the post!!

This collection is really girly, sparkly, pink and fun! There are four polishes and four press ons. Two of the polishes are jelly polishes, which means they are pigmented sheers, and have a very sheer / see through consistency, PLUS they’re sparkly or glittery. You can make them more pigmented with more coats, however they aren’t going to look fully opaque/creamy like their other polishes usually look. There are also two cream finish polishes which are pretty standard compared to other colors from their collection!

SWATCHES:

THE JELLIES:

That’s Heart

This is a lavender sheer polish with iridescent glitter and it’s by far my favorite of the entire collection! I LOVE jelly looking polishes because I think they are just super interesting and unique, and this color was sooo fun. I’ve been doing Taylor Swift inspired manicures recently and this one is literally Lavender Haze in a bottle. I’m obsessed!

Coats: 2 coats

Difficulty to paint: Easy!!

Comparisons: The most similar polish to this one would probably be Lavender Stems, however that one is much lighter and this one obviously has sparkles added to it. If you have LS, this one will feel different enough to purchase!

Jelly Baby:

This polish is a sheer blush with iridescent flake glitter! This is a fun topper polish, I think it would look so pretty over a pink sheer like Strawberry Scone! But, it is sooo sheer, it would require a few thick coats to really get the blush color to come through.

Coats: 2 coats

Difficulty to paint: Easy!!

Comparisons: This is similar to Is It Too Much and It’s Never Enough from the winter collection, but those are definitely more clear polishes where as this one has a blush color that comes through with each coat.

THE OPAQUES:

Cold Foam Pls:

This is a shimmery neutral beige polish. It’s opaque in 2-3 coats, but looks a little sheer on the first coat!

Coats: 3 coats

Difficulty to paint: Medium!!

Comparisons: I think this one is most similar to Cable Knit, MM, or KAG however this polish has shimmery iridescent micro shimmer in it!! So if you have any of those colors, this one will feel different!

Wait, Does It Come In Pink?

This is a described as a candy pink jelly but I thought it seemed more creamy than jelly when painting with it! It’s pretty opaque in 2-3 coats, and the first coat definitely is more jelly/sheer if you want to just stick with one for that effect!

Coats: 2-3 coats

Difficulty To Paint: Medium difficulty

Comparisons: This is the color that has the most similar matches in the O&J collection to me. It looks similar to SCL, Rosy Tips or Pink Sands. It has the cooler light pink qualities but I guess the biggest difference is that it’s not as creamy/there isn’t as much white pigment in WDICIP? Compared to those other ones. If you have some of those other colors, you might like this one for it’s jelly qualities, however if you just want a light pink color, it’s not too different!

Quick Press On Shout Out:

You know I LOVE velvet glitter nails - I did an entire blog post about them, read it HERE! – so I was so excited to see some pink velvet press ons in this collection!! I love when the press ons have fun art that isn’t as easily achieved with regular polish. The other ones are fun too but I just love the velvet! If you’re interested in this trend, definitely check these out before they sell out!!

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS:

Favorite Sheer: That’s Heart

Favorite Opaque: Cold Foam Pls

If you could only get one color and you’re interested in jellies, I highly recommend getting one That’s Heart! I think it’s the most unique color in the collection and the sparkles are sooooo pretty! Sparkly, velvet glitter and chrome nails are so popular right now, so I’m loving how perfect this color is for spring!!
