The Big Fall Nail Mood Board!🧣🍂🧋

It’s officially fall and I guess I’m ready for some autumnal manicures now ;) I am actually so excited to make this post today because it’s helping me to organize my thoughts about which manicures I want to do this month and next!!!

If you missed my last post, make sure to check it out for my top 5 recommended Kokoist polishes for fall + 5 of my favorite/starter items that I always recommend with every manicure! But for today, lets focus on 5 looks/colors that I am dying to try for fall! Here is my mood board with a mix of looks and polishes I want to try! I broke them out with more detail below:

Tortoise Shell Nails

  • This is one of my most anticipated manicures that I’m excited to try because I finally got the Nail Thoughts Tortoise Shell Kit to do it!!! I’ve always wanted these nails and I have tried to do it before with colors I already have but I just couldn’t get it right, soo I’m hoping this kit does the trick for me. It has the glassy brown/yellow base, and the browns and blacks to add the spots + the brush to do the design! I’m so excited to use it. I feel like I need to add some sparkles or something to this look too! I need to figure out what that entails… stay tuned!!!

Syrup Ombre

  • You guys know I’m *obsessed* with syrup nails recently!! I tried an official syrup gel at the beginning of the summer and I just loved the texture and look of it! I wrote a little bit more about what syrup gels are in THIS BLOG POST! But anywho, since it’s fall now, I obviously need to try some classic fall shades in syrups! I ordered this deep vampy red called Black Cherry from Sweetie Nail Supply that I cannot wait to try! And I also just got the new Yogurt Nail Kr Gingerbread Collection (pictured above, bottom right)!! It’s 10 new syrup gels for fall and they honestly look so good together that I’m tempted to just wear all 10 polishes at once, or maybe do like a blendy ombre situation!

(More) Magnet Gel

  • Sorry but you just aren’t done seeing me use magnet gel!!! I can’t stop. It’s my favorite thing right now and I love how unique some of the color combinations and manicures are for fall! Here are a few that I’m excited about:

    • Mauve Satin by Kokoist (I currently have this on and I’m obsessed!! It’s such a beautiful mauve color and the satin glitter makes my nails look like literal silk, especially in the sun!)

    • DVOK White Night Collection from Sweetie Nail Supply (I just got this new collection (pictured in the mood board above, top right) and it’s INSANE! I really want to try this over a clear base so it literally looks like a glass bead. It will be on their site soon so keep an eye out if you’re interested in any of the colors.)

Korean/Japanese Inspired Mixed Media Nails

  • I’ve been seeing a ton of Korean and Japanese nail artists sharing manicures where every nail is different, like almost to the point where you wouldn’t even expect the nails to go together, but somehow they do!!! And they’re using a bunch of different types of gel too from magnet gel to adding 3D elements to matte to glitter and so on. It looks like a fun creative challenge and I really want to try! See the little heart photo in the moodboard for inspo!

     

    I also have seen a few manicures with just mixed sequins and glitter and it seems like such a fun look!! I just ordered a new sequins set to do this - I feel like these should be my birthday nails!!

Autumn Blues

  • I have seen some amazing and unique blue manicures recently that are just really catching my eye!! These aren’t just like sky blues or denim blues, I’m talking about nuance here people!!! Here are some that I really want to try:

    • Olive & June Quick Dry - Bodysuit

      • This is such a cool take on a fall teal! It’s opaque and moody and I really love it. These are some of my favorite regular polishes if you ever want a gel break or just want to try some awesome regular polish!

    • Yogurt Nail Kr - Prune

      • This polish is from the same collection as the Black Cherry color mentioned above and I’m sorry but I *need* it!!! These are so glassy and bold and I just love this shade of teal. I think the fact that it’s sheer makes it look really unique and dimensional once you paint with it!

    • Nail Thoughts Tanzanite Flash

      • Ok ok so this is basically just a syrup-y navy polish BUT it has flash glitter in it which makes it so much cooler. And I’m obsessed with this layering idea that I saw from dayna.boissoneault on instagram, where you do black polish, then magnet gel, then a sheer color + flash glitter (but this one is basically those two in one polish!!) I think it will look amazing!
