Kokoist Terra Magnet Gel Review + Top 10 Selling Products!
Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend! I just celebrated my birthday this past weekend 🥳 and took a little trip to California to ring in the new year by the beach and do some wine tasting!!
I’m so excited about today’s post because it’s all about my favorite Japanese gel brand- Kokoist!! I’m sure you’re familiar with them by now, but if you’re not, here’s a blog post for you! I’ve been meaning to do a Kokoist 101 and Nail Thoughts 101 post and this is reminding me to add that to my to-do list!! (If you have any questions about either brand, leave them in the comments so I can address in those posts!)
Today, I specifically wanted to cover their new magnet gel collection that launches today and it’s sooooo pretty and also share the top 10 sellers that you guys have been loving recently according to my research!
Terra Magnet Collection:
This is a new magnet gel collection with 12 colors that all have extremely fine champagne gold magnetic particles in it! I’m 99% sure this is Kokoist’s first collection with champagne magnet and it’s soooo stunning. This polish is so unique because when you look at the color on the brush, the particles are so concentrated that it almost looks like grey and thick, but then when you activate it with the magnet, the base color shines through and the champagne shimmers and literally looks glowy!
Also, each of these colors are inspired by the land (hence the name), so there are lots of earthy neutral tones, and some brighter colors (pinks/purples/aqua) that are still a little muted. One thing that makes me so excited about this collection is that even though they are all different colors, they feel so cohesive with the champagne magnetic particles and I think the look so good as mixed manicure! Brush Cleaning Gel - Not that fun, but oh so practical!! This is clear gel with no photoinitators in it that you can use to clean your brushes. Because did you know that using alcohol or acetone actually dries out your brushes and makes them fray and then they’re really hard to use?! I learned this the hard way so now I only use this gel and it keeps my brushes hydrated and perfect.

Nail Thoughts Milky Base - a perfectly milky white base, builder and color all in one bottle. My favorite thing about this is that it’s streak free!! This was an absolute staple when I was testing wedding manicures. And it’s such a great foundation for nail art too - for the holidays?! So cute.

Veil Powder - Ok I’m not just saying this, but this is my favorite chrome powder ever. My favorite thing about it is the particles are really fine so you get that perfectly smooth, glassy finish. There are actually two types, Fairy Veil is a clear glassy chrome, perfect for adding the chrome effect but not changing the color of your base at all. And Platinum Veil is bit more silvery but also has that sheer quality and looks nice over colors too!! Fairy is my choice but they’re both so pretty.

Nail Thoughts Movie Night - This is a deep red slightly jelly polish and I feel like it’s the perfect red for fall and winter!! You guys know I’m obsessed with jelly colors so I’m partial to NT Satin Robe from the Layers Collection which is essentially a jelly sheer Movie Night and it’s GORG! I can’t wait to wear it this fall.

Fixee Gel Natural - This is a thick gel with fibers in it that’s perfect for fixing cracks in your nails or doing extensions for a broken nail, and the natural color is like the perfect natural free edge color!!

Nail Thoughts Summer Forever Nail Oil - This is the same nail oil formula as the Kokoist Nail Oils (which are far and away the BEST cuticle oils I’ve ever tried) but the scent reminds me of Sol De Janerio Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. It smells like caramel, pistachio and vanilla but it’s pretty subtle. I’m obsessed!!!

Max Magnet - This is Kokoist’s most powerful magnet, it’s sooo strong and HEAVY! When I put it on my desk it usually clings itself to something or makes my tools move toward it, it’s crazy. This is what I’d recommend using for the new Terra Magnets because since it is so powerful, it will lift up as many of those particles as possible to make it look as glowy as possible!!

Nail Thoughts Baby Cakes Base, Peach Base, Clear Base and Strawberry Milk Base - I combined these because I didn’t want the list to only be a few NT bases & the items at #1 lol. But these are the most popular bases for good reason!! The colors are so neutral and beautiful and perfect and look good on everyone. Baby Cakes was my #1 favorite for a long time, it’s the perfect not too brown not too pink not too sheer not too opaque color!

Kokoist Ultimate Trio - This is a $59 trio of Kokoist’s top 3 best sellers so I’m not surprised that it’s number one for all of you guys too! It has Mega Stick Base (a super adhesive soft base), Platinum Filler Base (a hema free, antibacterial builder and base gel), and Ultra Glossy Non Wipe Top Coat (the BEST top coat ever) for a discount. I use these 3 products almost every manicure because if I’m being honest, PFB is my favorite builder gel so I reach for it whenever I’m not in the mood for a tinted NT base!! It’s sooo strong and wonderful. And I use the base and top coat literally every manicure.
