CURRENT MOOD: EVERYTHING FALL!🧣🍁 + Olive & June Fall 2023 Swatches!

Happy Fall! To celebrate the new season, I thought I would put together a list of some of my favorite nail looks, recipes, books and movies I want to watch, and MORE!

~NAILS~

I have so many fun ideas for fall nails, I felt like making a mood board was the best way to showcase them all! Here are the manicures I'm planning to do this month:

Evergreen Solid Nails with Extraterrestrial (a slightly jelly dark emerald)

Brown Nails with Copper Chrome (using Iced Latte Base + Copper Liquid Mirror Chrome)

Red Ombre to Dark Purple (using Movie Night and Midnight Peace )

Fall Plaid Nails (using Dulce de Leche and Thai Tea and this tutorial!!)

PS - I just changed my nails to "soft square" and I'm OBSESSED. Check out my tutorial here

~READING~

If you didn’t know, I started a podcast this summer (The Summer I Started A Podcast)!! It’s mostly a The Summer I Turned Pretty themed pod, but I also talk about other shows, movies, and books that I’m loving!

And this month, I’m starting a book club for the podcast! The first book we’re reading is Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino! It’s a dual timeline second chance love story and I can’t wait to read it! I’d love if you join me, the podcast episode for this book will be out in the last week of October :)

If you know me, you know my favorite season is Christmas time, and I’m so excited to read this new book, The Christmas Orphans Club by Becca Freeman, whose podcast (Bad On Paper) I love!!

More is More cookbook by Molly Baz! I love Molly Baz! Her cooking videos are so helpful and I’ve learned alot from her. She makes very creative meals that always introduce me to a new technique or even a new flavor, and I’m so excited for her new book to come out next week!

~COOKING~

These are 3 of my favorite recipes I make on REPEAT every fall!

Creamy Tortellini Soup

Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuit Topping but you have to use THIS topping recipe -- SO GOOD!!!

Cozy Autumn Wild Rice Soup

~WATCHING~

Recently watched and loved: Theater Camp (hulu -- SOOO funny and heartwarming. The end was so good.), Love at First Sight (Netflix -- make sure you have tissues), Dawson’s Creek (Amazon -- So many parallels to TSITP! I've never seen it and I'm really enjoying it!)

On my watchlist this fall: Gilmore Girls (Netflix), Julie & The Phantoms (perfect for halloween time!!), Ginny & Georgia, You’ve Got Mail, Runaway Bride

~WEARING~

I have been hearing SO much about this brand Quince on podcasts and I finally ordered a few things this summer that I loved! The price was shockingly low for the quality and I really like everything I’ve ordered so far. I decided to order a few things for the fall and I can’t wait to try them out! Be sure to follow along on IG, I’ll be sure to do a haul once they come in :)

Baby Alpaca Diamond Stitch Crew

I also ordered the $50 black cashmere sweater, and a 14k gold bracelet (I'm trying to become a bracelet person!)

OLIVE & JUNE FALL 2023 SWATCHES!

I kind of dropped the ball on getting these out closer to the launch date, I'm sorry! I promise I will be better when the winter collection comes out :) Better late than never right?! Here are my swatches and some quick thoughts!

It's Chilly - Creamy Beige

Can I Borrow A Sweater? - Jelly Mauve

First PSL - Iridescent Pumpkin

Favorite Beanie - Deep Slate

Luxe Loafer - Cabernet Jelly

Shacket - Warm Rose

Final Thoughts: I really like the range in this collection and you know I LOVE a jelly polish, and this one has a few good ones to choose from! My favorite is definitely Can I Borrow a Sweater or Shacket - they are both so beautiful and easy to paint with! I thought It's Chilly! was the most difficult to paint with, but I do find that whites/pastels are generally that way since the consistency is a bit thicker!

I hope you liked this style of blog post!! Be sure to leave a comment and share your favorite fall items from any of the categories if you want to :)
